OLYMPIC PENINSULA HUMANE SOCIETY
FOSTER CARE
Sometimes the animals that come to the Olympic Peninsula
Humane Society have special needs that are best met in
a home situation. Some examples include: litters under
8 weeks of age with or without mom, injured animals during
their recovery, animals that cannot tolerate the shelter
environment (kennel stress), and sometimes we just have
too many adoptable animals.
And then there are the big animals, like horses and other
farm animals. They might need a place to stay for a couple
of days while a fence is mended or they might need medical
care and nourishment until they are ready for adoption.
That is where you come in! You provide food, water, shelter
and lots of love and attention as if the animal(s) was
your own. We provide required medical care. You provide
transport to and from the vet and shelter.
And you get to watch the animal grow into its potential
and become ready to face the world and live happily ever
after with its new family.
